How long is too long when it comes to your resume? 

I'm going to give you that dreaded answer:  "it depends." 

That's right, it depends on a couple things, such as your experience and whether the resume you're submitting is a hard copy or one you submit online.  If the resume is one you are submitting to an online database, size really doesn't matter.

But, if it's a print version, listen up.

• If you are a new graduate or are starting out in a new career and seeking an entry-level position, make it a one-page resume.
• If you have more experience, make it a two-page resume.
• If you're seeking an executive-level position, or a position in the academic world, then consider more than 2 pages.
